Girl Talk: What I’m Thankful For

Hello! Welcome Back, I hope you guys are having a great week. For my fellow Americans tomorrow is one of our big holidays Thanksgiving aka Turkey Day. *Gobble Gobble* So today I thought I would tell you all the things I have been thankful for in 2017. As I’ve mentioned before I do suffer from depression and anxiety so sometimes when I get into a funk it’s hard to see all the things I have to be thankful for, but it’s important to push through it and remember all that you have even in your darkest moments. Let’s get started!

First and foremost I am thankful for my family and their health. I don’t always get along with them and I don’t always feel understood by them which can get really difficult for me because I have so much love in my heart for them. My brother has always been one of the people I am MOST thankful for we don’t always get along which is normal but he makes me laugh like no one else does. At the end of the day regardless of what I’m feeling I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

This year my friends have pretty much become like family to me, even though 90% of them are technically online friends and I haven’t met them (yet, because I want to meet them all) they know me better then my actual family does. They see my daily ups & downs of life, they are the most supportive group of girls who believe in me and believe in my dream. With going through the “breakup” with my toxic best friend at the beginning of the year I don’t think I would have gotten through this year without the group of friends that I have. I am thankful everyday for the amazing friends I made in college and that my best friend of 17 years has chosen to stand by my side for so long. I am really lucky to have much amazing friends that support me in every aspect of life.

Now even though I only work a retail job 27 hours a week, I am so thankful for my job. I am thankful that I get to work with people who see potential in me and appreciate me. My job is easy but I love what I do, I love working around makeup and beauty products of all kinds, I love being able to help customers find new products to try out. Most of my customers are woman who are more mature, so helping them find products that make them feel youthful and hearing how great the product makes them feel about themselves is such a reward to me.

Finally, I am so thankful for my blog and I am so SO thankful for YOU who reads my blog. I love having a place where I can express myself and my feelings on all things. I love that even though this is technically a beauty blog because that’s where my passion lies you guys are still accepting of me talking about other things I am passionate about as well. I feel so proud of myself whenever I post a new blogpost which is something I have struggled to feel much of in my post-grad life. I love when you guys leave me comments saying you enjoy the post or that you found it helpful because that’s the biggest thing I want to achieve with this blog, I want to share my thoughts and hopefully help someone learn to enhance their self love.

Faded Fall

To wrap this up, I just want to say thank you for joining me on my blogging journey. If you celebrate Thanksgiving I hope you have a great one tomorrow filled with lots of love, laughs and good food. If you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving I hope you have a wonderful Thursday still filled with lots of love, laughs and good food. Leave me a comment of what you are most thankful for this year, I would love to hear! Until next time…
