Hey Everyone! Hope you’re all well! I’m writing this at the start of a three day weekend and I couldn’t be more excited. Today’s post is one of my favorite posts to write, my Boxycharm Unboxing! I’ve done two previous unboxing and you can find them here: March Unboxing & Januray Unboxing. I get Boxycharm every month, but I’m thinking I’ll do an unboxing post every other month so that I don’t overwhelm you guys with unboxing’s. Do you like that at idea or would you rather see an unboxing every month? Let me know in the comments.
Now let’s get the logistics of Boxycharm out of the way for any new readers. Boxycharm is a monthly beauty subscription box that cost $21.00USD. In the box you get 4-5 FULL SIZE products, that add up to the box being worth over $100USD. The amount you pay for the amount you’re getting is an absolute steal. Okay, let’s get into what you’re all really here for. This is what I got in my May BoxyCharm.
Glamglow Gentle Bubble Cleanser- $28.00USD
The first product I received in my box was the Glamglow GentleBubble Cleanser. Even with just the first product, you’ve paid for the box and then some! I know I say this every time but I really can’t understand how they are able to put so much in the box for such a good price! Anyways, back to the cleanser. I’ve used this a couple times and it’s nice. One thing I don’t like about it is you’re suppose to avoid the eye area. I like my cleanser to take off all my makeup in one go so, that was a bit of a turn off for me. That being said, this would be a great cleanser for first thing in the morning or if you double cleanse, this would make a good second cleanser.
Alamar Cosmetics Blush Palette- $22.00USD
This second product is a dream come true for me. I love blush palette’s and I love them even more when they have a coral undertone to them. Being so fair and having blue eyes, oranges and corals really compliment my skin tone so I was very happy when I saw this in my box. I’ve never tried anything from this brand but it’s one of KathleenLights’ best friends so I had high hopes that I’d like it. The formula is great, while the blushes are pigmented they are also blendable. I can see myself using this product all summer.
Ciate London Eye Luster Cream Eyeshadow- $22.00USD
When I tell you I about DIED when I saw this in the box, I’m really not being dramatic. However, I was a little let down by this product. I was expecting it to be more pigmented but instead it’s more of a eye topper with a lot of glitter. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, just not what I was expecting. I recommend that when using this product you do your eye makeup first because it does have a good bit of glitter fall out. While there are pros & cons to this product, it’s still absolutely stunning and I’m so excited to play with it more.
Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick- $18.00USD
If you’ve read any of my other makeup related posts, you’ll know I don’t do liquid lipsticks. I’m not really a fan of bold matte lips, I’m more of a creamy nudes type of girl so I wasn’t super excited about this product. That being said I’ve heard incredible things about Dose of Colors and this color is gorgeous for the summer time. Maybe one day when I’m feeling adventurous I’ll wear this lip with a simple winger liner. Dose of Colors is known for their liquid lipsticks and I’m probably judging too soon so, fingers crossed it’s not super drying.
Mellow Cosmetics Brow Definer- $18.00USD
This product came at just the right time, I was completely out of all brow pencils the day my box came. The pencil is good and gets the job done, but it’s not my favorite. It’s a very creamy pencil which on any other product I would love, but for my brows I like a stiffer product. I honestly find it a little challenging to get a sharp tail to my brow due to the triangle shape of this product. I’ll use the pencil up but it’s not something I would repurchase, I enjoy my 5 dollar pencil from Colourpop much more.
That’s all that I received in my May Boxycharm. The overall value of this box is 108.00USD. While this wasn’t my absolute favorite box, I’ll still get good use out of all the products. If you haven’t gotten this box yet and are looking for a beauty subscription service, I highly recommend you check them out. You can sign up for the box, here.
If you do get Boxycharm, what was in your box this month? If you don’t, what was your favorite product from my box that you would like to try? I’d love to hear from you so let me know in the comments! Thanks for stopping by, until next time…
