Budget Friendly Fall Activities

Hey guys! Hope you’re all doing well! Fall is finally in full swing, and I could not be happier about it. The fall decor, fall clothing, fall baking I’m excited for it all. After the super hot and humid summer we had I’m welcoming the colder weather with open arms.

With Fall arriving comes Fall Activities. There are a bunch of different activities you can do with a group of friends or as a family to really enjoy the autumnal season. These activities will be geared more towards my fellow financially struggling readers.

Being in your mid 20s usually means you’re on a pretty tight budget, and possibly living paycheck to paycheck. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have fun in your downtime. If you’re looking for something fun to do that is budget friendly & autumnal, look no further.

Pumpkin Patch

Most obvious activity would be to go to a pumpkin patch. If you want to just attend a pumpkin patch then you will have a free day of fun. Otherwise the only cost you’ll have is for any pumpkins you purchase. Pumpkins typically run about .50 cents per pound.

Some pumpkin patches go all out with their Fall activities, including play areas for children, a corn maze and much more. These farms will be a bit more, but still under 20 dollars for a general admissions ticket which will include multiple attractions.

This is something my friends from the bible study I attend weekly and I want to do. We are all in early adulthood so money is tight. It’ll be the perfect activity to just enjoy each other’s friendship.

State Parks

This is a great FREE activity to do during the fall. If you have a park with trails, you can take a peaceful walk in nature with your friends or alone. One of my favorite parks near me also has a lake and this is my favorite time of year to visit.

You will be able to enjoy the true beauty that Fall provides while doing something healthy for your body. There is nothing better than being in nature of a Autumn afternoon.

State parks also give you the option of practicing any hobbies you may have. Want to practice photography? The park has great scenery. Want to work on your writing? Find a bench nestled near the trees and get lost in your art. Need to train by running? Jog for miles with the endless trails leading you all over.

Fall Walk

Apple Orchard

This is my personal favorite activity, I’ve actually been trying to plan a time when my friends and I can go to one.

You have the option of so many different types of apples to pick from, you could get some for every occasion. Got a favorite apple to bake with? Favorite apple for snacking? Pick as many as them as you want. You may even find other seasonal fruits that grow in the same habitat as apples, feel free to pick those as well. You can also get freshly made apple cider and hot apple cider doughnuts to warm your belly on the chilly day.

Just like the pumpkin patch, the apples are a set price per pound. Last time my friends and I went, we had apples coming out our ears!

Fall Apple Tree

Fright Fest’s

This activity is something you’re going to have to actually plan for because it’s not very budget friendly. However, I couldn’t have a post about fall activities without a fright fest thrown in.

I’ve never been to a fright fest because the ones by me, take place in amusement parks. I don’t like amusement parks so, there really is no point for me to go. However, if you do like amusement parks and having the life scared out of you this are the place to be.

There are going to be different types of fright fest’s all over the world, like Shocktober Fest at Tulley’s Farms for my U.K. readers. Here in America we have a Fright Fest at Six Flags, or Not So Scary Halloween in Disney World.

Fall Fun For Everyone

I hope this post helped you find some fun fall activities to do during the Autumnal months. Being on a tight budget can be very stressful, you feel like there is always something more important you can be paying for. While that is most likely true, you still deserve to enjoy your life and take part in fun activities with loved one. Hopefully now you can see that having fun doesn’t always have to cost a lot.

What is your favorite budget friendly fall activity to do? Let me know in the comments, I love hearing from you guys! Thanks for stopping by, until next time…
