Hey guys! Welcome to day 2 of Blogmas! Today we’re gonna talk about parties! Not just any party no no, we’re talking about holiday parties! The holidays are the perfect time to gather all your friends and family together to celebrate the season.
There are many different types of parties to have, and it can get a little overwhelming knowing which type to host. That’s where the magical merry mich comes in to help.
Whether you have a child whose birthday falls in December or you want to throw a gathering for your child’s class, these are all great party ideas for kids
- Polar Express PJs & Hot Coco Party
- Gingerbread House Making Party
- Winter Wonderland Party
- Elf Costume Party
- Christmas Cutout Cookies Party
- Christmas Cards for Sick Children
When I was in elementary school, my class had a polar express themed party. Pjs were worn to school and then were given cups of hot coco. To this day nearly 20 years later it’s one of my best memories. The Christmas cards for sick children idea is a great way to teach kids the true meaning of Christmas. For them to see that some kids have to spend the Holidays in the hospital will help teach them how much they have to be thankful for.
This is gonna be the category for most of my readers. These are fun party ideas that you can do with your friends or with your coworkers or even your bible study like i’m gonna be doing. You will have a very merry time at these parties
- Ugly Sweater Party
- Secret Santa Party
- Naughty or Nice Costume Party
- Christmas Painting with a Twist (BYOB)
- ‘Love Actually’ Party
- Christmas Dinner Party
- Make your own Eggnog Party
All of these party ideas would be great for anyone 18 and older (depending on what age the legal drinking age is in your country.) They are the perfect way to celebrate the holidays with those who bring joy into your life.
Now that we have settled upon some party ideas, we need to let people know about the parties. You could make a group chat or a facebook group but that’s boring for this time of year. Forget about sending them in the actual mail, they’ll get lost under all the catalogs.
I was recently approached by a digital stationary brand called Paperless Post. They are a site where you can make digital cards, invitations, flyers for any occasion. Each invitation costs a certain number of coins to send out to each recipient but, is still cheaper than sending out physical invitations. I was kindly gifted coins* to play around and make a few projects of my own.
My favorite thing about Paperless Post is that you can create all your invitations right on your phone! All you have to do is download the Paperless Post from your app store and then boom, you have full control over what your invitation looks like. Once you have downloaded the app & made an account you then, choose the design that most appeals to you. From there you get to control all aspects like font, format, sizing and color. You also get that cute old school feel of sending your invitation inside of an envelope, which again you get to have creative control over.
Once your invite is emailed or texted out to those on the guest list, they have the ability to RSVP right in the email. You’ll then be able to track who has opened it and who has RSVP’d right in the app. Paperless Post combines the personalization of snail mail & the convenience of social media to make the ultimate stationary service. I can’t wait to continue to use their services for all upcoming events!
Have Fun & Be Merry
I hope this post gave you some fun idea’s for you and your loved ones to enjoy. Please remember that if your party involves alcoholic beverages to be responsible and DO NOT drink & drive. Today’s free gift for you is a Love Actually Drinking Game. This is the perfect addition to your Love Actually party. Be sure to let me know if you and your friends play it! Don’t forget to check out Day 1 of Blogmas if you haven’t already! What’s your favorite type of holiday party? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for stoping by, until next time..
