  • happy sunday friends! this past year, my depression has been in full affect. some days are better than other but it feels that at least once a month i slip back into the dark hole of depression.
•
because of that, this post has been weighing heavily on my heart for the past couple of months. it’s about what you shouldn’t do or say to someone suffering with depression.
•
these actions or phrases are all things i’ve experienced, and have even done to others. i hope this post brings awareness to how these things are more harmful than helpful.

the link to my new post is in my bio✨
  • Happy Wednesday! All of 2020 has been a weird year for me in terms of writing and blogging and just everything Simply Michelle. Maybe it’s been the fact that I’ve gone down a new career path & have less time to write, maybe it’s the pandemic zapping me of all my motivation to write. I’m not really sure. All I know is that I do miss it. The creative outlet that blogging has always provided me is something I do feel is missing in my life. Only problem is, I don’t know what to write about.
_
You guys know I don’t shy away from being vulnerable both here on instagram & on my blog. There are so many different avenues I could explore and write about, from being a preschool teacher to my faith and everything else i’ve featured previously on my blog.
_
I guess this long winded caption boils down to me asking for your input on what you’d like to read from me. What type of posts, what topics interest you. any and all input is appreciated.
_
i miss interacting with you all so much💕
  • happy sunday! hope you’re all doing well! i know i’ve been extremely m.i.a both here and on my blog, i have no reason it just sort of happened. However i’m back with a new blogpost that’s really personal and vulnerable.

For as long as I can remember I’ve struggled with my eating. Specifically emotional eating, which is what today’s post is all about. I would love if you checked it out, it’s linked in my bio💕
  • have i just found my dream flat iron? i think so!✨✨

it’s been so long since i’ve posted over here and on my blog in general. the times that we are living in are very strange and it’s been really hard for me to find the motivation or more so the justification to write.
_
one side of me feels it’s irresponsible to write about my favorite tv shows or things i’ve bought during quarantine when so many are struggling to put food on the table. then the other side of me feels like this is the best time to write that type of stuff because it gives people a distraction from a situation that i think we can all agree sucks.
_
where do you fall? are you into reading blogposts as a way to escape the realities of life or is turning off the anxiety about this “new normal” proving to be nearly impossible? let me know in the comments. i want to get back into writing blogposts but i also want to be mindful of the severity of the times we are living in💓
  • baths & books✨🛁

i’m one of the select few that have never read the harry potter series. two of my closest friends have made it their mission to get me to read them & i figured what better time than quarantine.
  • oh how i miss going on adventures around philadelphia....can’t wait to go explore more of the world once quarantine is over✨
_
hope you’re all staying safe and healthy during this time. there is a new blogpost up on my website if you’d like to read it, the link is in my bio.
_
what are you most looking forward to doing after quarantine is over? xx
